Oxford comma, I love you truly, madly, and deeply.

 My news editor constantly berates me for using this, but he calls it a “serial comma.” Damn you, AP Style, daaaaaamn youuuuu!!!

Do journalists hate it because it takes up valuable character/copy space?

I always use it. 

Me too.  I’m really anal about random rules of grammar.

It’s my favourite piece of punctuation. Whenever people edit it out..

The oxford comma is the bane of my existence. Professors basically beat it out of you in journalism school. Oh, and it’s also minus five points per use of it.
